On certain Fairy Tails packaging (depending on your location) were Fairy Tails Points, or Wing Points, you could cut out and save. They could be found on either the top or bottom flap of the box. The packaging stated: "Clip & Save for Valuable Premium Offers." There seems to be very little information on the number and variety of actual mail-away promotions that existed for the Fairy Tails birds.

Around 1988-1989 in the UK, you could mail in one Wing Point and £2.50 (approx. $3.60 USD at recent exchange rates) to receive a Fairy Tails Hair Styling Kit. According to the flyer, this kit included a poster featuring the 12 Original birds with instructions for creating terrific hair styles for them, 9 colorful ribbons, 3 feathers, 3 Fairy Tails hair styling rods and and 3 silk flowers.

Yellow Fluffy Tummy bird 		A variation of the Fuzzy Tummy birds was available in Europe. Dubbed "Fluffy Tummies" by collectors, these birds had extra long plush fur on their tummies, and came in a more muted color palette than the regular Fuzzy Tummies.
It is still unconfirmed if these birds were a mail order special offer or if they were available in retail stores. I have read about people who said they bought their childhood ones at a store, but haven't yet found any proof to back it up myself.
